Lichii Blood Orange Desert Distortion New England IPA is a hazy India Pale Ale in the New England IPA style brewed with blood orange to give this beer a red color. This fruited IPA has a very citrusy taste and aroma with medium bitterness. Notes of blood orange, grapefruit, and lemon are featured by through the use of Citra and Amarillo hops. Lichii is the Navajo word for red and is used to celebrate both the color of this IPA and the native culture in Arizona. Hans Von Biermann, alleged nephew of the Lost Dutchman, searched the desert of Arizona looking for his uncle and the lost mine in the late 1800's. He often rode the line between life and death. An entry from his journal read: 'Like a fool, I chased ghosted clues into the heat of the desert with limited supplies. At the edge of death, I happened upon an unlikely oasis to quench my thirst. it is there that a mirage revealed a horse from a vibrant land, but I could not determine if he was alive or dead!" - HVB
